Three things to look at next
- 01
Give your spare cash a purpose
After your entered spending, EMIs and SIP, ₹20,000 remains per month. Account for annual bills and irregular expenses before allocating it.
- 02
Build room for an interruption
Your chosen 6-month buffer is ₹3,00,000. The gap is ₹1,00,000. Keep emergency access and capital stability in mind.
- 03
Put a protection review on your list
Consider family health cover, income replacement, debts and nominees. Existing employer cover and personal cover may have different terms.
A household snapshot, not a credit score or a validated financial assessment. Your chosen reserve target is an assumption; needs vary.

How to use your financial check-up
Use take-home income after deductions, and include regular household costs in spending. Add EMIs separately so they are not counted twice. The reserve target multiplies your spending and EMIs by the number of months you choose. SIP contributions are excluded from this reserve target because you may reassess them during an income interruption.
A family with variable income, dependants or larger fixed commitments may choose a different buffer from someone with fewer obligations. This tool does not prescribe one target for everyone. Revisit your numbers after a salary change, new loan or family event, and print a fresh snapshot for your own records.
