Your repayment path
Compare both loans from today with the same outstanding principal. Upfront fees are paid from cash; they are not financed. A lower EMI can conceal a longer repayment period.

BEHIND THE NUMBERS
How this calculation works
Both loans begin with the same current outstanding principal. Compare either an EMI recalculated for the same term or the existing calculated EMI applied to the new rate.
Net lifetime saving = old interest − new interest − all transfer fees. Fees are paid immediately from cash, not added to the financed balance.
Cash-flow break-even is the first month cumulative old payments less new payments covers upfront costs. With the same EMI this may occur near repayment, even when the lower rate reduces debt faster. No investment return is applied to payment savings.
A FEW USEFUL ANSWERS
Before you make a plan
No. Lower EMIs may come from a longer tenure. Compare interest plus fees and the payoff dates, not only the monthly payment.
Yes. Enter your existing balance, the proposed converted rate and the complete conversion charge. The numerical comparison is the same; eligibility depends on the lender.
